Graphite heating elements in a vacuum furnace or kiln have to be electrically insulated from the furnace walls by means of spacers made of high temperature ceramic. Due to ever shorter production cycles and escalating heating and cooling rates, these and other ceramic parts – e.g. furnace wall insulator bushes or thermocouple protection tubes – are exposed to extreme thermal loads which could cause serious damage and, consequently, expensive and time-consuming maintenance and repair work.

HeBoSint® HENZE´s sintered Boron Nitride, is the ideal industrial oven ceramic for high temperature vacuum furnaces. Owing to its extraordinary thermal shock resistance and insultaion properties, HeBoSint® is clearly more reliable and durable than – for instance – aluminium oxide. At extreme temperatures in a vacuum or a protective atmosphere Boron Nitride ceramics are frequently the only option for long standing insulation.

Thanks to its excellent thermal properties HeBoSint® is the high tech ceramic of choice for spacers, insulating washers, insulating plates, thermocouple protection tubes, strips, pins and other parts exposed to severe thermal loads.
