Unsuitable lubricants cause Problems

High temperatures will affect the lubricity of release agents, lubricants and drawing compounds made from carbon black, graphite or MoS2. The latter will decompose, leaving molybdenum. Carbon-based materials will either oxidize at higher temperatures or react detrimentally with other materials by caburization. Being electroconductive, carbon based materials may lead to malfunctions and short-circuits in electronic devices and switchboards. There is yet another drawback of these materials: contamination in the form of black spots.

Even at extreme temperatures, HeBoCoat® and HeBoFill® will keep their excellent release and lubricating properties. This makes them ideal for hot forming of iron and non-iron metals, especially aluminum and titanuim by forging, rolling, extrusion, deep drawing, etc.

HeBoCoat® or HeBoFill® will not cause carburisation, short circuits or contamination. They are environmentally friendly and non-toxic.

Unlike graphite HeBoFill® Boron Nitride powder is electrically insulating and can easily and economically be applied by electrostatic spraying.
