This characterization shows that the two boron nitride ceramics from the CLASSIC LINE HeBoSint® CL 100 and HeBoSint® CL-Z 200 have a super balance of the key properties. They are very well balanced and cover a broad spectrum of important characteristics.
Let's dive in: an all-rounder - the HeBoSint® CLASSIC LINE
The HeBoSint® CLASSIC LINE is characterized by excellent release properties against most metallic melts, optimum electrical insulation and impressive thermal shock resistance.
As we have already explained in the blog post on the PURE LINE, a high boron nitride content is crucial for the thermal shock resistance of a boron nitride ceramic. For improved mechanical properties, a second phase or a binder is used and the ceramic becomes a mixed ceramic. This is where the CLASSIC LINE offers a compromise! The HeBoSint® CL 100 gets its improved mechanical properties from a calcium borate binder and the HeBoSint® CL-Z 200 from the second phase zirconium oxide.

In addition to its functional properties, the HeBoSint® CLASSIC LINE stands for reliability in the production process and ensures the long life cycle of components.
