In this blog post, it is now the turn of the third member of the HeBoSint® family, the STRONG LINE.
The HeBoSint® STRONG LINE stands for boron nitride composite materials with very good mechanical properties, outstanding gas tightness and high wear resistance. This line includes the materials HeBoSint® SL-Z 100, HeBoSint® SL-A 400 and our newest member, the HeBoSint® SL-N 300. In the next blog post, we will take a closer look at our new material. We will be speaking directly to Dominik Zug, the man who was responsible for developing the HeBoSint® SL-N 300.

The increased mechanical properties of the HeBoSint® STRONG LINE are achieved by using a second phase. Here, for example, zirconium oxide, aluminum nitride or an oxynitride are used as composite partners. The combination of the various ceramic components creates a combination of high load-bearing capacity and typical boron nitride functions, which include, for example, excellent release properties or optimum electrical insulation.
In addition to their mechanical strength, HeBoSint® STRONG LINE materials are characterized by their excellent gas tightness. This results from the density of the materials, which limits the open porosity to a minimum, which is essential for certain applications.
Convincing benefits: the advantages of HeBoSint® STRONG LINE – material with strong character
When you simply need something more. HeBoSint® STRONG LINE offers durable materials where others reach their limits. In the case of extreme continuous stress, e.g. due to cleaning the components by sandblasting, product handling with robots or mechanical abrasion, e.g. with enormous product throughput.
The HeBoSint® STRONG LINE is also used when the HeBoSint® CLASSIC LINE reaches its limits. The high dielectric strength and unbeatable gas tightness are crucial to ensure the integrity and functionality of ceramic components in various demanding environments.
HeBoSint® STRONG LINE: Successful applications in various industries
With the HeBoSint® STRONG LINE, high-performance products with a strong character are available for all applications. This product line is particularly predestined for system components that are exposed to high mechanical loads, such as cover strips in PVD systems or components for the steel industry.
Like all product lines in the HeBoSint® product family, the STRONG LINE can also be found in high-temperature applications. It is often used in ovens, burners or thermal barriers. In such environments, gas tightness is crucial to prevent gases from entering or escaping the material
Components such as bolts, nozzles, holders, washers and strips have also become indispensable in the fields of aerospace, PVD systems, electroplating, metallization, thermal spray technology, machine components, semiconductor technology, powder metallurgy, metal casting and melting and X-ray technology.
