Boron nitride in welding and brazing

In addition to suspensions, machined boron nitride components are used wherever high levels of protection are required. Typical applications include insulating inserts in welding fixtures, welding nozzles, guide elements in high-temperature environments, protective plates in soldering systems, and positioning components that come into direct contact with molten metal.

Boron nitride combines high thermal shock resistance with low wettability by metals. At the same time, the material remains electrically insulating. This prevents short circuits in automated resistance welding systems and enhances process reliability.

Typical applications:

  • Zur Stabilisierung von Punktschweißprozessen, z.B. in der Automobilindustrie
  • For copper and cell contact processes, e.g., in the field of electric mobility
  • Durable welding or brazing fixtures in mechanical and plant engineering
  • For high-precision soldering applications in the aerospace industry
  • For aluminum brazing processes in heat exchanger and tube manufacturing
