The HeBoSint® CLASSIC LINE is characterized by excellent release properties relative to most metallic melts, optimal electrical insulation, and impressive thermal shock resistance.
As we explained in the blog post about the PURE LINE, a high boron nitride content is crucial for the thermal shock resistance of a boron nitride ceramic. To improve mechanical properties, a second phase or a binder is used, turning the ceramic into a composite ceramic. This is where the CLASSIC LINE strikes the perfect balance! HeBoSint® CL 100 achieves improved mechanical properties through a calcium borate binder, while HeBoSint® CL-Z 200 does so using zirconia as the second phase.
