In unserem letzten Beitrag haben wir die Namenskonvention für unsere HeBoSint®-Produktfamilie erläutert. Heute möchten wir uns die PURE LINE genauer ansehen.
As the name PURE LINE suggests, this line comprises our chemically pure boron nitride ceramics. Specifically, it includes the materials HeBoSint® PL 100, HeBoSint® PL 200, and HeBoSint® PL 600. If you’d like to learn more about the naming convention, you can find our article on the topic at the following link:

Bor-Nitrid-Keramik: Eigenschaften im Detail
In general, boron nitride ceramics can be described by the following properties:
Since these characteristics vary greatly depending on the composition of the boron nitride ceramic, we have grouped the different variants into the PURE LINE, CLASSIC LINE, and STRONG LINE product lines.
Let’s dive in: The purity and thermal stability of HeBoSint® PURE LINE
Chemical purity directly determines the thermal stability of a boron nitride ceramic. Only with the highest degree of purity and a high boron nitride content can a temperature resistance of over 1800 °C be achieved. Our PURE LINE products have a purity of over 99% and are therefore ideally suited for high-temperature applications.
Thanks to their high boron nitride content, components made from this ceramic material exhibit excellent thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, and outstanding thermal shock resistance, while also providing electrical insulation and excellent separation and lubrication properties.
Compelling benefits: The advantages of HeBoSint® PURE LINE
The low thermal expansion characteristic of boron nitride ceramics ensures the material’s dimensional stability even at high temperatures. The excellent thermal shock resistance ensures that the PURE LINE remains stable even during abrupt temperature changes, such as when molten metal comes into contact with it, and that no cracks or fractures are to be expected. The high electrical resistance and excellent dielectric strength make the material the insulation material of choice in high-temperature furnace construction.
Thanks to our specialized finishing processes, unwanted boron oxide is reduced to a minimum. This protects components such as graphite heaters, thereby helping to preserve the service life of critical components in furnace construction.
HeBoSint® PURE LINE: Successful Applications Across Various Industries
These unparalleled properties make PURE LINE the boron nitride ceramic of choice for applications such as high-temperature furnace construction, use in plasma systems, and foundry technology.
Whether as components for high-temperature electric furnaces, insulators for plasma jet furnaces / ion engines and PVD-ARC systems, mechanical components / tubes and nozzles for molten metal, protective tubes and insulation sleeves for thermocouples, sensor components for molten metals and gases, as well as crucibles for metal evaporation, components for metal and glass melting and glass processing, holders, mounting plates, substrates, or components for thermal management, for casting precious metals, dental alloys, and special alloys—PURE LINE offers the appropriate ceramics for these applications and is ideally suited for use in vacuum or inert gas environments.
